Reflections on the Christian God's Supremacy

by Enamudu Ikhofua

My Christian brethren note these:

Life's lessons can be daunting and bewildering. Cardiac arrest hacks down a young mother or father; he dies. Satanic forces clamp down on your marital bliss. Financial displacement puts you way away from retirement plans. A latchkey child is out of control; he/she becomes an unrepentant urchin and takes to acts that are intolerable to society. He gets caught and thrown into a remand home.

Such a range of events raises questions that are hard, if not impossible to finds answers for. We investigate the circumstances time and again. We pick the details one by one, attempting to reach clues that might have a veil of sense and make it less difficult to manage. We beam the search light on ourselves, others and God not excluded, hoping to find what could or should not have been done otherwise that could have averted the entire situation.

We consult friends, fellow Christians and preachers only to be fed on purists quibbles that bear ineffective attempts to bring down our pain and grief. When reality thus proves answers to be farther away than we think, and the heavens are like sealed off, what should the Christian do?

The Christian should revert to supportive clues from two scriptures: 1) "The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us..." (Deuteronomy 29: 29 NKJV). The whole territory of understanding belongs to God and man's share of it is limited to what He agrees to reveal to us. Owing to this, you must "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding" (Proverbs 3: 5 NKJV). 2) "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God..." (Romans 8: 28 NKJV).

If God elects to explain to you, all well and good but if He doesn't it brings Him no minus. He remains "the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." (Revelation 22:13 NAS). He executes His Master plan for our good at the time He chooses. So, Christian brothers and sisters don't lose hope, trust Him.

The Bible: A Great Book
The Holy Bible is a magnificent collection of books that is God–inspired. It is accepted by Christians as His will and guide for their lives. It offers an amazing message of love, peace, and hope of salvation. God gave Jesus because of His love for this world, and by placing our faith in Christ, it gives us hope for the future, and a real present peace in our souls.

Many people wonder how they can learn more about God's plan of salvation. Our belief is that people can find out about the hope of salvation by reading, believing, and studying the Bible, and praying so that the Gospel message is understood.

By reading and studying the Bible for yourself, you will be able to verify the truth about God's word. Whether or not you are knowledgeable about the Bible, we pray that you will find something that is relevant as you browse this site.
